About
We help you find the next game you’ll love.
PixelPlay is a small, opinionated team of writers, players, and curators. We test every game on the site and write honestly about what works and what doesn’t.
We started PixelPlay because the web is full of games, but very few places to figure out which ones are actually worth your time. Our editors play every title we publish, write a real review, and give the game a rating that reflects our honest take. No sponsored placements, no fake reviews, no filler.
Whether you have five minutes on a coffee break or a long evening ahead, our goal is to point you to the right game, fast — and to help you understand what you’re getting into before you click play.

How we review
Our process is simple and consistent, so our ratings are actually useful.
Play, don’t skim
Every editor spends at least an hour with a game before writing. We note the first five minutes, the middle, and the late game.
Score on substance
Fun, polish, originality, and replay value — these four pillars are the basis for our rating. We share the breakdown in every review.
Plain language
No marketing fluff. If a game is buggy, we say so. If it’s a hidden gem, we’ll tell you why we kept coming back.
